On January 8, 2019, IFM released the 2018 17E36 Contact Current Capability Verification Results Report. So far, the three IFM competency verification projects that our company participated in in 2018 have all been passed with excellent data.

So, what is proficiency testing?

Profitability testing (commonly known as comparative testing) is an important method to assess whether laboratory test results meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 in terms of quality assurance. The idea behind the ISO/IEC 17025 quality assurance section is to first ensure that a test engineer in a laboratory can consistently reproduce the same results on the same sample; second, that the results measured by the test engineer should reflect the results of any other test engineer in the laboratory; and third, that any results for the laboratory as a whole should reflect the results agreed upon by many other laboratories.
