Scope of application: mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, headphones with microphones, handheld game consoles, portable speakers, e-books, keyboards, mice, portable navigation systems, in-ear headphones. (Laptop, April 28, 2026)

Core Requirements:

The device must be equipped with a USB Type-C female connector that complies with the EN IEC 62680-1-3 standard, and the whole device needs to pass the functional protocol test defined by the standard

Devices that support charging higher than 5V, 3A or 15W must be compatible with the USB PD fast charging protocol of the EN IEC 62680-1-2 standard

The product can be equipped with a charger or not, and the charging capacity is stated

 

Identification requirements: indicate the power range, whether it supports PD fast charging (terms and logos), and whether it comes with a charger

In addition, countries such as China, Brazil, Australia, and Mexico are studying the development of standardized regulations for Type-C interfaces, which are expected to be implemented in the next few years. Enterprises need to make arrangements in advance according to the regulatory requirements of various countries and regions to ensure that their products meet the standardization requirements of Type-C interfaces and smoothly enter the global market.
