In the general old standard IEC 60335-2-14:2014 for household appliances safety, the input power of electric appliances is limited only by the upper deviation value, as shown in the figure:
It can be seen from the table that when the electric appliance is tested for normal temperature rise, the load test of the motor only needs to meet the risk assessment. If the danger does not occur, the prototype is allowed to fail to reach the nominal rated power. Under such circumstances, the phenomenon of more virtual power standards in the market has appeared on the market, which has caused widespread public debate.
Therefore, in response to this phenomenon, the standard IEC 60335-2-14:2016 issued in 2016 adds new restrictions on the test power requirements for normal temperature rise, and this limitation must be in kitchen appliances. Production manufacturing has a large impact on costs and certification.
